Documents required to open a car workshop

First of all, you have to find and rent a ready-made premises.Of course, you can purchase ownership of a plot of land and erect a car service building on it, but not too many people can admit such expenses at first stage.

If you prefer the option with a lease, it is necessary to pay attention to certain nuances when entering into an agreement with the owner:

  • The premises for the car service should not be unauthorized. You should check the certificate of ownership of the building from its owner, which should indicate the appropriate use of the structure
  • The premises must meet all sanitary and hygienic rules and regulations (lighting levels, ventilation, etc.).
  • The height of the building (the floor on which the renovation work is planned) should be at least 3.5 meters, since it will be necessary to install an elevator for cars to fully operate the car repair station.
  • The area of the structure should be about 100 square meters – this is enough to install two car stands.
  • It is legally impossible to organize a car service in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings. The distance from the service point to the nearest house must be at least 50 meters.

In addition to the certificate of state registration of the company (LLC or IE) and the lease agreement for the premises, you must obtain:

  • A certificate from the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service
  • An application from the local fire inspection

Rent: For undeveloped space, the cost of rent reaches EUR 15 – 20 (this is PLN 80-100) per square meter. The most expensive is to rent equipped building for an auto repair shop. Such a facility in the central districts of the capital costs from EUR 15 to 20 per square meter (about EUR 2000 per room).
Salary: EUR 16000 per month (based on 8 people with a gross salary of EUR 2000. A work schedule of 2/2, and 4 employees per shift).
Utility, cleaning and other bills – EUR 500.
Advertising costs: EUR 1500.
Transportation, gasoline and other expenses: EUR 1000.

If you add it all together, you get the costs about EUR 20000. Don’t forget to take into account taxes, accounting and insurance premiums. Round up, and the average comes out to about EUR 25000. Calculate the net profit: 30000 – 25000 = 5000. This will be the potential profit for one month of work.
